- Respect and professionalism on site
- Clear communication and steady execution
Meet our Team Members

Aidan Walsh — Owner / Red Seal 403A Carpenter
Aidan leads Boulder and Beam with a focus on long-term performance and consistent craftsmanship. He has almost 13 years experience working in the trades, with a majority focus on residential homes. He believes quality construction is defined by the details that aren’t immediately visible—preparation, structure, and the layers and systems that make a project last. Apart from having his Red Seal in Carpentry, he is licensed for Part 8 septic installation in Ontario and is working on getting his Passive House Consultant/Designer certification.
Personal: Aidan is a self-professed nerd and is always learning, whether reading books, attending online and in-person training, or scouring Youtube. His interests include alternative health/nutrition, building, farming, and faith. Between work at home on the farm, 4 kids, business, and church, there’s always something on the go.

Kevin — Field Crew / Journeyman Carpenter
Kevin has been with us for 4 1/2 years. He brings journeyman-level experience to the field crew, supporting projects with a practical, method-first mindset. He’s focused on clean execution, job-site professionalism, and getting done by 5pm 😂 He completed his carpentry apprenticeship last year, earning journeyman status in the trade.
Personal: After work, you’ll usually find him on a field somewhere—playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, or indoor soccer when winter hits. He’s big on staying active, but also appreciates a good night in with a movie or TV series. Every now and then, he’ll unwind with a relaxing cigar. Currently single and hoping to meet ‘the one’.

Devin — Field Crew / Apprentice Carpenter
Devin has been with us for 3 1/2 years. He supports the crew with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the right way. He contributes across the job site—from preparation to finishing—while building skills through repetition, feedback, and consistency. He just completed year 1 of the in-school apprenticeship program and is looking forward to getting his Red Seal. He is a skilled concrete finisher and has a rounded experience in many aspects of residential construction.
Personal: He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children, especially outdoors while working on and maintaining their family home and property. He and his family also serve alongside friends and family at their home church. In his free time, he enjoys building furniture and taking on projects for their home, and he’s always glad to help friends and family with projects of their own.

Kait — Office Administration
Kait supports operations behind the scenes—helping keep details organized. She manages inflowing emails and makes sure they get where they need to. She also tracks and records all our receipts and expenses so we can keep our invoicing and job costing on point. Her role helps ensure clients get the most out of what they are hiring us for and a professional experience from first contact to final close-out.
Personal: She is a proud military spouse and mother of two who loves homeschooling her children. She enjoys baking – especially sourdough bread – and spends her free time going to the gym and getting outside with her family, often hiking and exploring nature together.

Lilliah — Social Media
Lilliah is always popping into the jobsites with a camera rolling and often Tim Horton’s in hand for the crew. She makes sure we document what we do to share with others and helps us have fun doing it. Her role helps share with the world what goes on at Boulder and Beam, and invites you to follow along, laugh, and get to know us and what makes us tick.
Personal: Lilliah is Aidan’s wife and mom to their 4 kids(which is more than a full time job on its own). She loves to skip the small talk and talk about the deeper things in life. Her massive heart for people keeps her always on the move, out doing activities with the kids, at her church, meeting with people to spend time and love on them, and of course coming up with new things for our crew to do on camera.

Alex – Field Crew/Labourer
‘The new guy’ We’re still learning what makes him tick, but he always shows up and puts his best into his work.
